As a tenant, am I only able to sign onto Renstafe at the beginning of my lease?

Both tenants and landlords can sign on to use Rentsafe at any time during the tenure of their leases.

What happens in the event where either the landlord or tenant fails to uphold their end of the contract?

Rentsafe enables you to keep record of messages and documents exchanged between the tenant and the
landlord. This information can be used in any court of law or housing tribunal in South Africa. This helps in
resolving disputes quicker.

Will all the information I share on Rentsafe be safe and secure?

Rentsafe operates in adherence to the Protection of Personal Information Act of 2013, South Africa.

Will I be able to rate and review my tenant or landlord?

On Rentsafe, every action counts. From how fast your landlord fixes items that need upkeep to how timely your tenant pays their rent; tenants and landlords can rate and review one another.

As a tenant, can I use history of payments made to my landlord to help support a future housing finance application?

Yes. Rentsafe keeps record of all your payments and can present you with a statement to your financer for your housing finance application.
